Giving paracetamol to a heart patient is wrong, so is, giving a bypass surgery to a patient suffering from fever. Of late, this seems to be the fashion. A "paracetamol" was given to the "Actual problems faced by the Indian daughter" and a bypass was given to the Leslee Udwin who went, at length, taking a lot of pain and risks, to study and bring to the surface, the malice hidden in our society.

Every daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother...Every woman should watch this movie, so should every male, but for totally different reasons:
Animals in Men's clothing are all over the place, under the pretense of either being drunk or being under the influence of drugs, lurking in every nook and corner, they are waiting to pounce on you. Don't get carried away by the decent clothing or gentlemanliness - There is a razor-thin nerve which separates a Man and a Rapist. it pays to be extremely careful, till the Male folks refine and mend their ways.
Long back, I had a chance to enjoy Holi, with some Jat friends in the interiors of a north-Indian village - A Holy Hell of an episode. How I managed to come back "Alive" is still a mystery. What I found there were not villagers these were "Savage beasts: Animals in Human clothing", Drunk, Drugged and extremely violent. In the name of Holi, the violent abuse that happened there still gives me nightmares. Under the pretense of Holi, I could see a whole village turning into Rapists / would-be Rapists.
What is happening in our schools, offices, trains, even at our own homes with these perverts - at varying shades of gray?
Why is this so?
Why is there so much of pent-up sexual urge, Is it because the Indian society taboos sex and porn in any shade and these people have to resort to underhand and stealth to vent their sexual urge?
Why do they feel like pouncing upon every woman they find and every woman is a sexual object to them? Is it because the boys and girls are separately educated as a result of which the girls become an enigma?
Publicly we are vociferous against sex, the same public will have petabytes of porn in the mobile phones, are we such a hypocritical society?
The hypocritical society we are; Publicly we claim "Men and Women are equal" and privately we have an addendum: "Men are 'more equal' than women" what does it take to change this?
Do we acknowledge that 30% who live below the poverty line lead a life worse than animals - eating, defecating, sleeping in the drains? That, it is with their animal instincts that they survive. From the down-trodden slums and drains of the netherworld, if they catch the bus to have their share of Sunday - Drunk and Drugged. Did their frustration caused by the apathy of the rich and elite towards their sufferings and misfortune transform them into Brutal Beasts?
For a sustainable society let us decide whether a paracetamol or a Heart surgery is the need-of-the-hour.
